The Society of Saint Benedict

The Old Catholic Society of Saint Benedict is under the Jurisdiction of ArchBishop James Long and The United States Old Catholic Church.

The United States Old Catholic Church is an Independent Church and does not fall under the Roman Catholic Jurisdiction. Although we certainly acknowledge that the Pope is the Bishop of Rome and we do have admiration and respect for him, we are not under Roman jurisdiction.

The Pope is on record stating, “both Roman and Old Catholic to persevere in substantive theological dialogue” and to continue to pray and work together towards a deeper conversion in Christ.
